Nancy Lorene is a self-taught graphic artist, currently working with the Art Department of Villa Rosa Designs. She has been sewing, knitting, crocheting and embroidering for over 50 years, and has spent a good part of her adult life working in graphics departments of print shops and catalog companies. She creates surface designs, artwork, coloring books, and needlework and sewing patterns. Nancy gives us a fresh take on vintage illustration with a passion for often forgotten bits of ephemera, reworking and reimagining these little gems of beauty from another time. The result is often bold, sometimes whimsical, and always captures the original flair of the florals and ornamentation. Nancy lives in the downtown area of a small city in Central Missouri with her husband, brother and four cats in a delightful 1875 Victorian Italianate that they are currently, slowly, renovating.
